Rivers of people try their luck in getting in at one of the opulent parties taking place right under their eyes on the terraces on the Boulevard de la Croisette. Everyone has mobile phones, digital cameras or camcorders. Crowds of people crushed by self importance, flow in a hurry to the Palace, climbing as if the are on a pedestal the red steps.
