Colombia

Colombia has it all. The gigantic endless mountain ranges, the beaches, the jungle, the highlands of the coffee region, the gutsy big cities, the diversity of the people, and so on. It’s home of ones of the world’s biggest carnivals, the street art is exceptional, exotic fruits abound and the Botero’s art is nowhere else so close. And on top of everything else, the people there, seem to be the happiest I ever saw! Even if Colombia has endured six decades of internal warfare between guerrillas, paramilitaries, and other criminal groups.

The Colombian’s hospitality is unmatched. They will invite you in, they will want to share food with you, take you dancing. We’re not used to such kindness in our cultures.

Sometimes it will seem like nothing works. It’s could happen in Colombia sometimes and that may involve an adventure, but trust me, you’ll always get to where you want to be!

And yes, Columbia truly owns its Magical Realism.
