It’s late on a sunny evening and fishermen are lined up against the railings, angling for a lucky catch from the Bosphorus. The call to prayer can be heard from the nearby Yeni Cami mosque, while businessmen wandering by after work, chattering on their smartphones. In the streets, mysterious and warm voices run after smoking and busy hands. “Hookah” time. The strong scent of coffee sneak out from lively restaurants and cafes.

Istanbul, is a bustling, noisy, colorful, friendly city with over 16 million people. Modern and ancient at the same time, it has been re-invented many times throughout the ages. Here, cultures and continents equally meet each other. The old and the new, the oriental, the bazaars, the sea, the fishermen, the smell of the fresh “Simit”. There is nothing like it.
